Big Bash
|
Great competition, good way to start the day over the Christmas holidays.
We could learn from the way they schedule this.
Here's a clip from last year's competition.

Was looking forward to this all the way up to this morning and then I saw that Sky had lost it to BT sports.

Annoying Sky have lost it. What with BT having the Ashes in Australia may have to cave in soon to get it.

It's tempting to just change my home phone shit so that I get BT sport for free included in that.

If he helps with the decision, Jason Roy just hit a monstrous six off a 90mph delivery.

Problem with Roy, is that he just can never help himself though.
Still, his complete and utter gung ho approach is what the format is all about.

Comfortable 9 wicket win for Sydney Sixers first up. Brisbane and Adelaide up tomorrow with Brendon McCullum joining Chris Lynn at the Brisbane Heat.

In Big Bash's little brother Super Smash in NZ, Central Districts posted a whopping 249/3 in their 20 overs.
Otago then got 248/4 with Jayawardene getting 116.
Gutted!

Strikers win the toss at the Adelaide Oval and send Brisbane Heat in. Brendon McCullum to open. Chris Lynn returns after a shoulder injury & Brisbane also include the promising legspinner Mitchell Swepson and allrounder Jack Wildermuth.
Chris Jordan in the Adelaide line up along with Kieran Pollard , Brad Hodge, Travis Head & Jake (son of Darren) Lehmann.

Bowling appears to be making even Pierson look good and from previous views of him, good isn't a word associated with him!

I got Brisbane to win outright at 13/2 earlier in the week. McCullum has a knack of galvanizing average players.
All depends on how well Badjree bowls.

Time for a bit of galvanising Adelaide 72/0 off 6
Personally I think Ian Bell and David Willey will carry the Perth Scorchers to yet another title.

Ian Bell got a gig did he?
Played well last season, though not exactly a blinding T20 player.
Good luck to him making some retirement wedge and fuck me the Strikers are having fun!!!
